What is included in the ticket price?

Our rates include the boat ticket, as well as airconditioned transportation to or from your accomodation on Bali's southern and central tourist areas. These include Kuta, Legian, Seminiyak, Nusa Dua, Jimbaran and central Ubud. Please contact us if you want to know if the location you are staying at is included in the normal ticket price.

In case you require transportation to locations not included in the regular ticket price, we will be happy to give you a price quote for any additional distance covered on Bali.

Why do I have to make a reservation, and check in online later?

Many of our passengers prefer to make a reservation for the boat tickets before they arrive on Bali. Our online reservation system ensures there will be a seat for you on the boat, and transportation to the harbour will be available.

If you do not know in which accomodation you will stay during your visit to Bali, you can let us know during the online check in procedure. Our staff will then ensure we pick you up on time to make it to the harbour of your choice.

I am already on Bali or the Gilis, and want to let you know where to pick me up.

Immediately after making the online reservation and paying the deposit, you will receive an email with instructions to check in online. This way you can complete both steps in a single browsing session.

How do I pay the deposit?

We accept payment for deposits using PayPal, through which you can use any major creditcard to complete the payment. This includes Visa, Mastercard, Amex and many others.

How do I pay the remainder of the ticket price?

You can pay the total (minus the deposit you already paid online) when you arrive at your boat in the harbour. We accept both Indonesian Rupiah and US Dollars.

Why do I need to pay a deposit?

We require a deposit on bookings to ensure our reservation system is not abused by those that eventually do not show up on the date booked. This allows us to ensure there is enough capacity on the boats and for transport on Bali

What is the price of the deposit?

- 20% of the total fare when booking over 3 days before departure
- 40% of the total fare when booking 3 days or fewer before departure

Is my deposit secure with GiliBoat.com?

Yes. Paypal covers both buyer protection and conflict resolution on all deposits paid through our website. Furthermore all major credit card companies protect their clients from false purchases.

Is my credit card and personal information secure when booking a ticket?

Yes. In fact, we will never see your credit card details at all since the payments are handled by PayPal. Your personal information will only be stored in order to contact you and allow online check in.

Is there any difference between Padang Bay, Padang Bai and Padangbai?

No, when shipping is concerned all three terms are used to describe the exact same harbour on eastern Bali. Padang Bai is also a small harbour town with a few options for accomodation and diving excursions. When you are staying Padang Bai, we will be happy to arrange transportation to the boat departure location with any ticket booked trough our website.

I want to change my existing booking, or made a mistake in my reservation. What can I do?

In these cases the best solution is to contact us directly so we can provide a solution that fits your needs. We will do our best to accomodate any changes in travel dates, group size or otherwise free of charge as long as the available boat and road transportation capacity allow us to do so.

I have not received a confirmation email after paying the deposit. Was my reservation processed correctly?

The confirmation email should arrive in your mailbox within one hour of paying the deposit (usually instantly). If you have not received the confirmation email please ensure that it was not marked as spam or filtered out otherwise. You will also be able to see your booking number in your paypal transaction overview, and on our website immediately after completing payment for the deposit.
